I would guess that the current Council would support the Mayor's perspective on the appointed School Committee, especially if the ballot were secret.

That is an interesting guess: unfortunately for testing that hypothesis, the Council has to do its business in public! RE: School Committee composition, Mayor Wu's last public position was that she wanted a hybrid committee, with a majority appointed by the Mayor. In 2023 when the Council passed the elected school committee home rule petition, the Mayor vetoed it, but did not offer any alternative.

Suffolk out in the field now with questions on the Mayor's race and preferencr for school committee. Some quirky questions about whether one thinks Mayor Wu would be better in a higher office.
